My Journey: From Beauty Professional to Empowering an Industry

 
For over 13 years, I’ve been in the beauty industry and ran a successful 6 figure business. But it wasn't always this way.

Before the success hit, my life felt like an endless cycle—wake up, go to work, do something uninspiring, come home, and repeat.

It felt predictable, ordinary, and unfulfilling.

 
Deep inside, I always knew I was built for something bigger. I had a vision—one that wasn’t always clear, and I couldn’t always define it, but I couldn't deny how powerful it felt.
 
I knew I was destined to create something meaningful. That vision has been my driving force—pushing me to search, to learn, to evolve.
 
School wasn’t my strong suit—I didn’t thrive in academics, and honestly, it often made me feel weak. But put me in front of people, give me the space to connect, to help someone see the bigger picture, to inspire someone to believe in themselves—and I thrived. It was what I was good at it.
So I leaned in and went for it! 

 

Connecting and making people feel seen and helping them understand their worth WAS MY GIFT!

Even before I consciously realized it, I was already doing it.

I began asking, who is Shirley? What is her mission? How is she meant to use her time on this earth?

The more I read, the more I worked on myself; the deeper I leaned into personal growth, the clearer my purpose became.

 

That self-discovery led me to where I am today. 

I had always envisioned a life of purpose, and thirteen years ago, I stepped into the beauty industry.

 At that moment, I made a decision: I wasn’t just going to work a job, clock in and out, and repeat the cycle. I was going to be intentional. I was going to do something I loved, something that made an impact.
 
Was it easy? No. Did success happen overnight? Absolutely not.
 
It took 13 years to get to where I am today. But looking back, every challenge, every lesson, and every step along the way gave me the clarity success and fulfillment I now have.
 

And because I know the path, I can now help others find theirs.
